BookFest Malaysia 2016 is back!

KUALA LUMPUR, 2 July 2016: BookFest Malaysia, the nation’s largest book fair returns bigger and better for its 11th anniversary. For nine days, the annual exposition, organized by Popular Book Co (M) Sdn Bhd, will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Lim Lee Ngoh, the executive director remarked the event will hosts over 681 booths, consisting of prominent publishers, numerous books in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese, well-known stationary distributors as well as lifestyle gadgets from various countries around the world.
“BookFest Malaysia aims to act as a platform for Malaysians to read more, so that they can grow into knowledgeable individuals that can benefit the nation in the future,” she said.
She added that this objective suits the theme of BookFest Malaysia 2016, which is “Read More, Malaysia”.

Fellow BookFest Malaysia loyal fan, Aliya Ramli expressed her excitement for the event while queuing to buy the admission tickets.
“I’ve gone to the previous BookFests and I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this latest one,” Aliya said.
The event will feature 213 events and activities, involving 188 celebrities. Book sharing with Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, autographs signing with True Singapore Ghost Stories author Russell Lee and the casts of Oh My English!, and The Star Reader’ Choice Awards are some of the highlights of the event. The admission fee is RM2.50 per entry but the fee is free for students aged 18-years-old and below as well as senior citizens aged 60-years-old and above.
