REVIEW : Unique Desserts

Here are some of the desserts that I've had the pleasure of eating during my journey to discover unique and interesting desserts around Klang Valley.

Visually appealing as it uses a combination of black and white. It does not taste like charcoal at all, despite its given name. With a spoonful, you will be filled with rich vanilla cream goodness. The added charcoal helps to lessen the sweetness of the cream, making the taste just right.

2. Terracotta Café’s “Unicorn Teardrop”

With a quaint yet whimsical theme, the Unicorn Teardrop perfectly sums up the cafe’s theme. This simple yet mouth-watering dessert is accompanied with brown sugar syrup and roasted soybean flour. The best part, it comes in various wonderful flavours too.

3. Cor Blimey’s “Deep Fried Mars Bar”

Originally a Scottish dessert, this dessert does not disappoint. True to its name, the mars bar are deeply fried in light yet crispy batter. With one bite, hot, thick and slightly chewy chocolate lava will explode in your mouth. Dip it into the cool vanilla ice-cream which accompanied the dessert, you will not regret it!

4. Zest Patisserie’s “Caprice”

With an interesting combination of salted egg yolk sauce with charcoal flavoured waffles, this piece definitely leaves an impression. Despite so much element in the dessert such as the ice-cream and caramel popcorn, everything has a nice balance.You can even opt to flood your waffle with extra egg yolk sauce to make it more mind-blowing. Overall, it’s a perfect dessert to share with that special someone as the portion is big enough.
